Day 8: Vermont

This is at our campground at Mt. Philo, Vermont...Munro is enjoying being an outdoor doggy!
There was a path to the summit from our campground that turned out to be a climb to the summit...lol Munro's first time at "climbing" a mountain...
She wasn't super stoked lol
After we climbed back to our campsite we went for a drive to explore Vermont!
Munro likes her seat so that she can look out at the world!
This is a round church that actually has 16 sides...there is a legend that they built it so that there wouldn't be any corners for the devil to hide in but the tour guide told me that it was probably because the builder was from New Hampshire and they have round barns there and so they think he was inspired by that.
The inside...
Pieces of wood and other artifacts they found during restoration
From the balcony...the pews are boxed in like that because families owned their own pews also being closed off like that also kept them warmer during the winter
When I was at the round church, I met a husband and wife hat were from the area that were super excited to tell me about Vermont and they told me about a few places to visit...Ben and Jerrys was only about 20 mins away so I checked that out bc they told me there was a flavor graveyard
I made a spin art!
Who knew there was such a thing as a flavor graveyard?
It's all the flavors that they have retired
The line was insane! And these kids were having some kind of messy ice cream eating contest
I didn't get any ice cream but Munro for an ice cream treat
Then we headed to our next adventure...I read about this in a book that Ugur got me to help me find cool places to visit!
Munro found a hippo mommy
And then she found a nice lap to curl up in...lol she knows how to make fast friends
In the book it said that you couldn't drive on it...but you can! So I did!
I had to buy a ton of maple syrup for you guys back home...lol
This is a Farmers Market in Woodstock, Vermont where I bought some super fresh veggies for dinner!
Random house in a field!
And then we settled in the Calvin Coolidge State Park to sleep for the night...
Munro doesn't understand the concept of tent camping...but she did figure out how to sleep on the air mattress without me opening it for her lol

Day 7: Aurora, NY

On this day I went to Mackensie Childs Studio/Shop! This is where I draw a lot of inspiration from in my paintings and in my life...the patterned are all so whimsical and wonderful!
This is a little garden outside the shop!
They sell lady lamps for $30k
Munro and I browsing the goods!
Children's tea table
My future living room
My future tea table
Another lady lamp
My future dining room
A lounging lady lamp with moose
A beautiful butterfly pattern!
I think we belong here!

The whole operation is on an old dairy farm...the barns are the shop and workshop and offices; and there's an old farm house they have completely remodeled into everything Mackrnsie Childs!
Everyone had to wear these booties over their shoes to protect all the beautiful rugs
I'm going to post the rest of the pics on Facebook...there are a ton!!! It's a 3 story house!

Then we drove for 5 hours to Mt. Philo, VT to camp for the night
At Mt. Philo the park ranger told me about a secret out look I could walk to from the campground that looked over the Adirondack Mtns
This night we slept in the car because it rained...but it's ok because I was prepared and I have my memory foam in the back just in case of times like these!
